an abomination the afl administration is. so fucking what if the team was in "debt"? football was supposed to be about the club, players and fans, not about profiteering which has now choked the game. The afl easily could have come up with a scheme to keep it afloat, like a proper collective and supportive organisation should. it's schmucks like demetriou who keeps his eye the dollar bill rather than his employers - the fans.
